For the first time, the CSBL Collegiate All-Star Team played the Crestwood Collegiate League All-Star Team. The game was hosted by the CCL at Ozinga Field in Crestwood. The game was played under ideal conditions with hundreds of fans in attendance.
Notable performers included Ricky Colazzo (Lombard Orioles) who put the CSBL All-Stars on top in the fourth inning with a grand slam. In the top of the ninth, Max Pavlik (Oswego Cats) doubled to put the CSBL All-Stars ahead by a score of 5-4 and Dominic Cada (Oswego Cats) earned the win by throwing the last inning and a third, striking out two batters.

Fred LeSage and Bill Storrs are legends in the Chicagoland semi-pro baseball world. Bill was the head coach of the Crestwood Panthers. His team played in the CSBL for 17 yeawrs. Fred remains the coach of the Beecher Mus, a CSBL mainstay since 2000. Both Bill and Fred were honored for their contributions to baseball when they were inducted into the Illinois Sports Hall of Fame on June 13 in Springfield, IL.
The Illinois Sports Hall of Fame was established to honor and celebrate the rich heritage of interscholastic, collegiate, and professional sports within the state. By recognizing the achievements of athletes and teams, it aims to preserve the legacy of Illinois sports and inspire future generations.
During the 110th Annual meeting of the National Amateur Baseball Federation, the Board of Directors approved the proposal of the CSBL to host the NABF Charlie Blackburn Major Division World Series in 2025. The event will take place July 30 to August 3 at the home fields of North Central College and Wheaton College. The Beecher Muskies and Lombard Orioles have been designated co-hosts for the tournament. Go here for more info.
